I've had pants on the brain for a while. I'm not a fan of those tight legging type pants for babies and Conor only has 2 pairs of wide leg pants that still fit. Does a baby really need more than 2 pairs of pants? Probably not, but seeing as how he's too little for sunscreen this summer I thought a pair of linen pants would be perfect. I tweaked a Burda pattern 9711 to make this pair. They're roomy, but I think the tight striped onsie, makes them appear bigger than they are. Sadly, the onsie will have to be retired after today, but I had to pair it with the pants. After all, the day may come when my son doesn't allow me to dress him as a French sailor...
The crocheted blanket he's sitting on is a gift from a good friend of my husband's family, Madeline Percoco. We've received several beautiful handmade blankets for Conor, and this is one of my favorites.
